Dinners were probably the best in my many times on other ships in their Grill rooms. Thanks to Arlen, Ida, Anna and Lesley and all the others that made my days so enjoyable. Of course, you will not be vacationing alone — many cruise lines now offer group activities for solo travelers, from dance classes to dinners.

Seniors wanting to cruise from Florida can save money by avoiding summer months, holidays and spring break or by signing up for a cruise ship's matching program. May I suggest adding Greek yogurt for those who can not tolerate regular yogurt? Dining: As I mentioned before, I had almost all of my meals in the Pinnacle Grill.

8 Night Memorial Day Exotic Caribbean Singles Cruise

I really would have liked to see more variety on the boat, lots of luxury, lots of people, few pools and slow service in the restaurants. The shows more of the same. The service charges you consume that are not included are very high. There is no variety of activities in the pool or when the boat is on the sea. Only the 70 's party was super fun for everyone. Captain's night was waiting for more activity. For the price of the boat they offer very little. It is a boat with capacity for many people but they do not have the right facilities to meet in the pool area, not chairs available while on the high seas. Few elevators for so many people. NO variety of food in the outside restaurants is always the same. Programs in the salon Boleros and other boring. Karaoke boring, In the casino cigarette smoke is so strong that you can't even play. For those who smoke you will like it but, the smell is intolerable. The room services charge was abusive. Really in not my first option for the next cruise. One of the best cruise ships we have ever been on. From the staff, rooms, food, and overall activities to choose from, we could not have asked for more. The food at many of the available restaurants was excellent. We especially enjoyed the casual experience at Windjammer. The food was excellent every day! We were not highly impressed with the Chop House, especially for the price, but everything else was great. You could not have asked for a friendlier room attendant! There are so many activities to participate in that you will never be bored. The casino is very tight. Other than those two negative ratings, the rest was awesome. Make sure to take the VIP dolphin swim in Nassau. Our family loved it! Kitts were still beautiful! We will definitely be back for another Harmony of the Seas cruise! I took this cruise with my best friend. We drove down together the day before and stayed with a friend. We got in kind of late and it was a long drive so we did not explore Ft. A few days prior to embarkation we were sent a text that we had been selected for expedited arrival! If you do your pre cruise check in with the RC app you are entered into what I assume is some kind of raffle system to win expedited arrival for your group. Basically, from the time our shuttle dropped us off at the cruise terminal to us stepping onto the boat was 20 minutes and that included us having to visit a desk due me not having a passport, and purchasing lanyards before boarding. The ship is AWESOME. It did not feel like a ship most of the time and I loved that. Central Park was wonderful and we often found ourselves there listening to the guitarists who would set up and play during the evenings listening to the wind blow though the trees. We enjoyed the boardwalk as well and spent a few evenings there at the Aqua Theater enjoying shows. OceanAria is a must see! There was a wide range of activities and we tried to sample as many as we could. We went to dance classes, adult coloring sessions, zip lines, the flow rider, mini golf and all of that was included!!! We were never bored. Our cabin was just a basic interior stateroom. It suited our needs, the bed was comfortable, and there was enough counter space and mirrors in there for two women to get their makeup done simultaneously. The service was great! Our room steward Tyron was awesome. We had asked him for a wine bottle opener to open the bottle of wine we brought on and it unfortunately broke leaving us with a handless corkscrew stuck in a stubbornly corked wine bottle. Tyron went and got another bottle opener and spent ten minutes working that corkscrew around the other one and wrestled that cork out of there. He also was very polite and funny and got to know our schedules and cleaned our stateroom around them. Cynthia, our server in The Grande dining room on Deck 4, was also amazing. Not only was she just a really solid and cheerful sever and person she also went above and beyond for us! We asked what it was and she explained that it was a famous dish from her country. She really wanted to share a small piece of her culture with us. All other staff we encountered was very helpful and seemed happy. The gnocchi was divine. The itinerary was good. We visited Nassau, Cozumel, Roatan, And Costa Maya. In all ports except Costa Maya we did an excursion we booked through the cruise line. Costa Maya was my least favorite. Disembarkation was super smooth. We did the express walk off option and were lined up to leave at 6:20am and was through customs at 6:50am. I would 100% come back and sail on the Allure again. We had such a good time!!! Some higher demand areas needs improvement but overall, really really impressive. Many workers are from countries with very demanding work ethics and that shows in how they present themselves. To us, it was worth it. Because the free food is generally a hit but some misses. The specialty restaurants were a great experience generally but not made all equal. Jamie's Italian and Izumi were the best. If you think Italian is just Italian, you'll be shocked. You can definitely spend all 7 days on the ship and barely get familiar with it all. It was a lot to take in but they organized it pretty well with the daily newsletters. Do not skimp on the drinks and a lot of variety. My ONLY gripe on this whole ship is that they have short toilets, but not a biggie- just a first world preference. Definitely can tell it has RC all over it, but it was enjoyable. Overall, this was an amazing experience. So much to do that can cater to everyone, it is a ship definitely worth cruising. The restaurants are hit or miss but majority are good. Was on this cruise as part of a hosted singles cruise. Full disclosure: This was my first ever cruise, so I don't have a past experience to compare it to. I found the Carnival Conquest to be a good time and would totally consider this ship again. Bars: Received excellent service at the red frog rum bar, and decent service at the casino bar. In fairness the casino bar was often packed. And guitar sounds with Kara Clark playing every night by the casino bar was great. Activities: I enjoyed the adults only pool and hottubs in the back of lido deck please keep these adults only carnival! Service: I bought FTTF and was so glad I did. I actually got it FREE when my luggage wasn't delivered until 3:30PM. But guest services was able to quickly help me out on a few different occasions. I DID seem to have a hard time reaching them on the phone, but when I actually went to guest services I always got helped right away, thanks to FTTF. I MADE was my housekeeping steward and I have no complaints about him. In Grand Cayman took a group taxi to seven mile beach and had a nice day at the beach with other friends for the singles group. Dining: My group had late dining in monet, and I found it to be alright. The ocean views by our tables were great. The best dinner was on the final night, BBQ Prime Rib. Oh and the chocolate melting cake is a must for dessert. Entertainment: Stanley Ullman in the comedy club was hilarious. Several of us went to two of his shows. Just about fell out of my chair laughing at the first one. Henri's Nightclub with DJ Darren was also a fun hangout at night. Overall: Had a good time. Would do a Carnival Cruise again, and even consider the conquest again down the line. This ship is beyond amazing. Unlike other cruises I have been on in the past, this is the first ship that has truely felt like a resort at sea. This ship is beyond amazing. From it's shear size to the Central Park and Boardwalk. This ship has enough space to comfortably fit the six thousand guest that travel aboard. As part of my trip planning, we ordered the alcoholic beverage package to ensure that we had the the ability to try all of the delicious concotions offered throughout the ship. This was one of the best decisions we made due to all of the benefits this package provided and the variety of drinks offered. The food on this ship was comparable to other cruise lines and the premium offerings help break up the monotony of those daily menus. As a part of my trip planning, I purchased the 3 day dining package. I hope to travel with Royal Caribbean again. The overall experience was excellent and I'll miss many of the crew members that provided great customer service. Flew in from Newark the night before, embarkation went smoothly, our junior deluxe suite was fabulous with a walk in closet, balcony, complimentary Moët Chandon champagne and lovely toiletries. The only issue was the shower door. It covered only half the tub. We were careful yet the floor was quite wet after showering, one had to squish to stand on top of the drain to try and keep the shower water from splashing outside. There were a lot of people onboard; a bit crowded. Finding your way around was challenging at first, learning port, aft, forward etc helped tremendously, finding a crew member always solved direction issues. One learned how important washing hands is. KUDOS to Royal Caribbean! We were fortunate to dine in a different venue each evening which was great and entertaining. May I suggest adding Greek yogurt for those who can not tolerate regular yogurt? Also, having a selection of nuts would compliment any meal. The smoking section near the pool should be well marked especially for those trying to avoid it. The entertainment was out of this world; absolutely fantastic. Really enjoyed and took advantage of the great sales on cruise wear, handbags and watches, thank you! Each and every server and attendant was most helpful in every situation except the shower door issue. Cleanliness was a priority and it was evident everywhere. A suggestion for after disembarkation: please have the restrooms on your pier cleaned and with toilet paper, we had issues leaving Saturday. One really notices the difference after being on the cleanest ship. Again, we tried touring alone. We had inquired several times on the ship and were assured the tram was open to take us to the top for a spectacular view of the ship. Unfortunately, the tram was closed due to hurricane damage several months earlier. Please advise future guests. We contracted a tour guide who gave us an excellent education while driving us around for two hours. Eating locally was fun, shopping was good. On St Kitts the shopping was great! Onboard on our last two sea days there were bargains; cruise wear, handbags and watches to name a few. Fortunately, there was time for me to package and mail my items, suitcase was overweight for flight home. May I suggest you offer to mail within the USA. It would encourage more shopping. The track on Deck 5 was the best allowing one to walk the perimeter of the ship showing great views. TCM chartered the Disney Fantasy in Nov 2016 where there were very few children and approximately 2400 passengers; a comfortable amount of guests. Definitely would go again to other ports checking ratio of adults to children. We had an excellent time and thank you for doing such a great job! I wanted to try it, never been... Entertainment was beyond expectation, and I am very discerning. Great singers, stand-up comedy was excellent. I was a bit confused with dining though, didn't realise I was going to be on a potentially different table every night, as I had no set time. Wish there was a table for people travelling on their own, I had dinners by myself sometime, which I did not like. I realise there was a bar where people on their own could meet, my fault I did not investigate. People were generally friendly. I also felt that all beverages could be included in the drinks package, i. On the whole, I enjoyed it very much, very luxurious, swimming pools were packed for my liking, but that is to be expected. The only downside was disembarkation, it was shambles once you got off the ship. Very organised getting off, but I was taking a shuttle to Miami, and there was no sign where to go, so I missed two shuttles before I found the right place to wait. The customs were very slow, two officers initially for all those people! If that was faster, it would have been perfect. My partner and myself had wanted to do the North Atlantic to Northern Europe but when this deal came along, we couldn't resist. Unfortunately my partner lost his passport on day of sailing and missed the departure. Big Hint here: First thing to do is to call Holland America and advise them. They will then try to help you get to next port and will do everything necessary to help you avoid large extra charges. My friend didn't do this and wound up with big expenses that a call to the cruise line would have been the much better way to go. My review is based on my being in a corner Neptune suite with a wrap around balcony and dining almost completely in the Pinnacle Grill. While this suite balcony might be great on a Carribbean cruise, on the Atlantic Ocean, totally unnecessary. Plus the side balcony cuts into the cabin size and isn't as big as mid ship suites. Plus, being in the back, I had less visits to the Neptune Lounge and I missed that very much. Of course I had 2 brilliant room stewards. I like getting up early and having my room done first. No problem for these guys. Thank you very much guys. Having the Lounge is a huge plus. You get the services of 2 fabulous concierges. Mine were Hazel and Anika. Thank you ladies for your great help with my friends' woes and for all you do for the passengers in the lounge. A wonderful place to rest and meet your fellow cruisers. Get a cappuccino or a bite to eat. Work on their computer and watch some TV. Since I was waiting for my friend to make it back from the Miami Passport agency, I didn't arrive on board until about 345PM. Needless to say he didn't make it back on time. My cabin was ready and the amount of closet space was very generous. The bathroom was very big with twin sinks. They now have nightlights but I think they're too bright. I bring my own but impossible to turn theirs off. You don't need to be blinded if you need to use the rest room during the middle of the night. The Oosterdam was just in dry dock and had all of her dry goods replaced. That meant I got to be first to use the new beds and linens. I really wish they could figure out a way of making the twins feel more like a single bed and not 2 beds slid together. I also like having all the goodies that they bring to your suite. Dining: As I mentioned before, I had almost all of my meals in the Pinnacle Grill. Thanks to Arlen, Ida, Anna and Lesley and all the others that made my days so enjoyable. Dinners were probably the best in my many times on other ships in their Grill rooms. So good, I did lunch there a few times. As I'm a 4 star Mariner, I get 50% discount on all meals in the Pinnacle. BTW, I did hear good remarks from the people that ate in main dining room. The Grill chef made my and from my observations of others, great temperature meats and fish and general great dining. Since I was rather bummed out about my missing friend, I didn't get to see many of the shows but did give the casino some action. I broke even, pretty good actually. I also met on board some previous cruiser friends and joined them quite a bit. They too ate mostly in the Pinnacle and our times were very close, so we joined each other a few times. Thanks to Candice Karin and Randy and Steve. The ports were excellent for this crossing. Funchal was our first port and my friend was supposed to meet us there. Alas, they wouldn't let his flight land due to heavy winds, and we didn't meet up until we got to Lisbon. He has a crazier story than I do. I totally recommend him to anyone. For the other ports we took in the shuttles and walked around on our own. Service on board the ship was almost perfect. I did have a bit of a problem with trying to set up space for our Mah Jong players and it took too many visits to straighten this out but in the end they did find a compromise for our group. Not that I was too happy about it, but not worth getting too upset. Holland America is one of my favorite cruise lines and this was my 24th crossing altogether, so I have experience and know what to expect. We had a very big storm on our journey but the Oosterdam held up beautifully. I heartily recommend this ship and this line. I love sea days.

Central Park was wonderful and we often found ourselves there listening to the guitarists who would set up and play during the evenings listening to the wind glad though the trees. So good, I did lunch there a few times. This is a relaxed casual way to meet and make new friends while enjoying exotic and exciting places. Sunday May 26, 2019 » Half Moon Cay, The Bahamas 8:30am - 4:30pm Fulfill your responsible island fantasy on Carnival cruises to Half Moon Cay. Best time to travel Fort Lauderdale is served by cruise ships year round. We will definitely be back for another Harmony of the Seas cruise. Service on board the ship was almost perfect. It was a lot to take in but they sincere it pretty well with the daily newsletters. And after some extensive upgrades, that's more true than ever before. Savor the majestic beauty of Venice as you glide along its canals and under its bridges, opulent palazzi and elegant churches lining the fort lauderdale singles cruises. The customs were very slow, two officers initially for all those people!.
